Creating holiday cheer
Robin Ball helps her homeschooled daughter Madison, age 9, work on making her own putz house ornament, a miniature Christmas decoration, at Newport News (Va.) Public Library System’s Main Street branch December 8. The “Creating Putz House Ornaments” program was modeled after the building of miniature houses, or “little glitter houses,” from the 1920s to the 1940s in Germany.
