Pamela Goodes, American Libraries associate editor, joins DEMCO representative John Ison after being awarded the 2011 Black Caucus of the American Library Association’s (BCALA)/DEMCO Award for Excellence in Libraries for her publicity work for each of the seven National Conferences of African American Librarians. The award includes an engraved bronze statuette and $500. DEMCO also donates an additional $500 to the E. J. Josey Scholarship Fund.
