Libraries and nature

Megan Blount creates a fairy house from natural materials during the Spring Jubilee at Middle Country Public Library's Centereach, New York, branch. The occasion was the annual opening of the 5,000-square-foot Nature Explorium, the first library-based "nature explore classroom" in the country. The opening was held in conjunction with the National Grid Foundation, a supporter of nature literacy, outdoor programming, and library-based activities and services.
