Nashville Public Library Recognizes Retirees

Nashville (Tenn.) Public Library Director Kent Oliver (right) joins past directors David Marshall Stewart, Caroline Stark, and Donna Nicely (left to right) at a February 20 reception honoring 20 employees who participated in a Metro Nashville retirement buyout. Nashville Mayor Karl Dean presented certificates of recognition to the retirees, who also received a framed print by artist Phil Ponder. Reception decor consisted of origami flower arrangements made from discarded book pages. Friends of Nashville Library provided a cake in the shape of an open book and hors d'oueveres.
