Poetry slam winners
Devon Crape (left) and McKenzie Johnson show off their prizes after beating the competition in a coffee house–styled Teen Poetry Slam at Newport News (Va.) Public Library System’s Grissom branch November 19. Crape won for best performance for his original poem “Who Are You to Judge Me,” and Johnson received the best original poem prize for “I Thought You Were My Friend.”
