Remembering on Memorial Day

As Memorial Day approaches, the U.S. Naval Institute in Annapolis shares these vintage shots from 1918–19 of troops enjoying books donated by the American Library Association. The photos were taken aboard the USS Mercury, returning from France after the World War I armistice.
