Library Design Showcase
Snowy day in May
Deborah Pope, executive director of the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, reads A Snowy Day at Brooklyn (N.Y.) Public Library’s “Ezra Jack Keats Family Festival: Snowy Day in May” May 12. The event is named after Keats’ Caldecott Award–winning book The Snowy Day, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Family-friendly activities included balloon sculptures, face paintings, and a presentation by the Brooklyn Youth Choir. Art workshops were presented by artist Felix Plaza and illustrator Taeeun Yoo. A book signing was also held with author/illustrator Melanie Hope Greenberg.
