Roberta Stevens Introduces Our Authors, Our Advocates
ALA President Roberta Stevens introduces her Our Authors, Our Advocates presidential initiative, which officially launched at her inauguration at the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., in an interview with American Libraries’ Pamela A. Goodes. Through Our Authors, Our Advocates, authors will lend their support for libraries through media interviews, podcasts, public service announcements and other marketing materials. The video also features Brad Meltzer, Sharon Draper, and Marie Arana, three of the authors who have already committed their support and who spoke at the inauguration, discussing how libraries helped to get them where they are today. See the Our Authors, Our Advocates Press Kit for more information on the initiative and to see the authors speaking at the inaugural.
