The beginning of a LITA Interest Group: Code Year Interest Group
In this video, Members Andromeda Yelton and Shana McDanold talk about how the Code Year discussion progressed and about the Interest Group they are forming through LITA - they were able to collect all of the signatures needed that afternoon. Andomeda and Shana also touch on the purpose of doing the Code Academy lessons and the importance of having librarian support groups as they learn these things together. They also highlight the ALA Connect group that Andromeda started and the PB Works wiki that Shana started for catcode.

I just want to note that there’s so much interest from ALCTS members that we’re pursuing joint sponsorship — bureaucratic timelines being what they are we may or may not pull that off in time for Annual, but that’s the direction we’re heading.

It’s actually being proposed as a joint LITA/ALCTS Interest Group.
