Kayaking Hero
Will Lytle, 20, from Elgin, Illinois, pulls his kayak into camp in Wisconsin during a 2,350 mile, 54-day solo journey along the Mississippi river as part of the Gail Borden Public Library's "Be a Hero, READ!" summer reading program. The library provided Lytle with a speed laptop card to blog his trip even while camping under a bridge next to river. The blog recorded over 2,000 visitors.
