Really Useful Information for Anaheim Conference

As you prepare for your trip to the 2012 ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim, here’s some really useful information.

  1. The ALA offers an Ambassador’s program for those attending the Annual Conference for the first time – or for anyone needing some assistance. Ambassadors are ALA volunteer members who serve as friendly and helpful faces.  They answer questions, provide information, and help you navigate the numerous meetings, events, and onsite resources offered at a conference as large and rich in content as ours.
  2. Ambassadors are located at the Registration Area and at the ALA Pavilion on the exhibit show floor – booth 1939. They will be wearing bright blue and gold Ambassador ribbons. Feel free to stop by with questions or to get suggestions on getting to where you need to go, on interesting things to do, and to meet new colleagues.
  3. Attached is a link — http://connect.ala.org/node/180986 — to “What’s Happening” at the 2012 Annual Conference. It is a comprehensive overview of the Annual Conference, highlighting the many interesting, timely, professional-development, and fun opportunities available to you. It really will help you have an enhanced experience in Anaheim!
