Talk and Tunes at PLA 2014 Opening Day

Violins entertain at the exhibits opening reception

The Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis was packed Wednesday, March 12, for the first day of the 2014 Public Library Association National Conference. Following the Opening Session talk byPLA attendees enter the exhibit hall Bryan Stevenson, founder and director of the Equal Justice Initiative, attendees migrated to the exhibits opening reception, where nearly 400 companies showed off their products and services. The CoverGirls, a violin quintet (pictured above) covered songs by Cee-Lo Green, Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, and the Charlie Daniels Band, entertaining crowds waiting to enter. The group later set up within the exhibit hall to continue their jams while attendees browsed booths and enjoyed a Mediterranean buffet.
