Resources for military families from Preservation Week 2013

Smithsonian Libraries host Preservation Matters!

CHICAGO - The Smithsonian Libraries will host the program Preservation Matters! beginning at noon on April 24 in the S. Dillon Ripley Center, Washington, D.C. This event is part of the Preservation Week celebration April 21-27 and features Steve Berry, national spokesperson for Preservation Week.

ALCTS Microgrants available

<p> The Transforming Collections Task Force of the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) seeks proposals for its 2013 Microgrant Program. All ALCTS members in good standing are eligible to submit a proposal. The grants are designed to support and encourage innovative practices, emerging technologies and innovation in collections. The microgrants are intended for small projects or research initiatives in support of transforming collections.</p>

Angela Carreño receives the Coutts Innovation Award
