Kids and families who attended the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County’s Children’s Learning Center in the main branch on June 2 enjoyed the library’s Rock ’n Read event, a reading kickoff party featuring the Frisch Marionettes Variety Show.

Genealogists from all over the country spent a rare evening at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County’s “Lock-In” held at the main branch May 10, part of the National Genealogical Society (NGS) Family History Conference.

Missy Lodge (center), associate state librarian for library development for the State Library of Ohio, delivers the news of a $81,012 Library Services and Technology Act grant to be used for establishing a joint Conservation Lab with the University of Cincinnati Libraries (UCL) and the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County (PLCHC). The lab will be housed at UC’s Walter C.

Sen. Jones visited the library to learn more about the early learning program designed to help prepare children for kindergarten.
