Biblio-Techs: Darien (Conn.) Library
Providing access to technology is an ever-increasing priority for nearly all libraries, particularly as the economy continues to lumber along and libraries are often the only free access point in a community. These buildings support their patrons’ and staffs’ technological needs in unique ways.
Darien (Conn.) Library has no circulation desk. Centrally located RFID terminals allow patrons to self-check books, and an automated material handling system sorts books from the self-return kiosks.
