This ad posted June 21, 2006 Director The Trustees of the Trenton Public Library seek a library director with strong managerial skills in financial and business operations, personnel and grants, to head a system of one main building and 4 branches serving the needs of the people of Trenton, New Jersey. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE successful work experience in public libraries at a senior level in an urban setting. The director will work closely with the board of trustees and with Trenton city officials in matters of policy and operations and possess excellent communication skills. An ALA-accredited MLS degree is required. Salary is negotiable based upon qualifications. Residency is required in the City of Trenton within one year of appointment to the position.
