This ad posted June 20, 2006 LIBRARY CONSULTANT/GRANTS COORDINATOR: Librarian III. Salary range: Step 52, $19.77; Step 73, $34.02. Representing the Utah State Library, consults with library directors, librarians, and board members on all aspects of library service. Works closely with the Utah LSTA Advisory Council to plan and evaluate the use of LSTA dollars in Utah. Works directly with the state's library community (public, academic, and school libraries) in preparing and submitting grant applications for federal funds, and in administering LSTA sub-grants awarded by the Utah State Library. Must have knowledge of library service; should hold an MLS and have work experience in public libraries. Experience in working with grants and contracts, financial data, and automated statistics and spreadsheet software (MS Excel, MS Access) is highly desirable. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in teaching/training is highly desirable.
